On June 1, 1996 INSCYTE Corporation deployed CytoBase,
a patient centered medical record of cervical cytology (Pap) test results
for all women in Ontario.
This state of the art computer system automatically captures
and registers laboratory reports as they become available. The information
in the database is subsequently made available to member laboratories,
clinics, hospitals and CancerCare Ontario to assist with the ongoing diagnosis,
treatment and follow up of patients.
